A week out, every day my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Christchurch, enduring the wrath of such a devastating earthquake. I'm not sure what's going on in the world right now - it seems as if it's just one natural disaster after another... It is a sobering reminder that we walk a tenuous line, in this life we lead and on this earth we inhabit... Every day is a gift - and every breath that we take is an honour. As I sit here watching buildings reduced to rubble and people in despair - I'm reminded of the fragility of life, reminded to be grateful for the beauty that surrounds me... And thankful for every hour that I get to spend doing the things that I love the most...
My name is Emma... I am an architecture graduate, interior designer, artist and freelance designer based in Waihi Beach where I run my online business, www.emmawalsh.co.nz through my Etsy and Felt stores. I love beautiful things. Sunshine, snugly cushions in gorgeous fabrics, antique tea cups, freshly cut scented flowers, opshopping, walks on the beach and swimming in the ocean. I intend to blog daily on things that I consider beautiful and inspirational including illustration, fine art, fashion, design, textiles, interiors, architecture and craft as well as a wee peek into my work and life. Anything you want to know, tell, ask or recommend? Send me an email at contact@emmawalsh.co.nz
