quite possibly one of my favourite places - shopping or otherwise - in auckland... the department is truly unique and combines beautiful design, some of my most favourite shops and coffee!! whats not to love! 

The Department Store is a modern take on the traditional department store experience.

It’s the brainchild of Karen Walker, Stephen Marr and Dan Gosling of Black Box. Their vision is to create a single environment where one can experience the very best from the worlds of design, beauty, fashion and interiors.

The three level store, situated in Northcroft Street, Takapuna, is the chicest and coolest multi-dimensional shopping experience New Zealand’s ever seen.
