La Maison Champs Élysées
I got pretty excited when I heard the news of Maison Martin Margiela's new interiors project, and the first few pictures have just been released...
The end result aims to seamlessly mix the label’s hyper-modern sensibilities and clean design aesthetic with the buildings’s rich cultural heritage. Among the rooms boasting a Margiela revamp are a restaurant, a smoking room, a bar, reception area, as well as 17 hotel suites. The hotel has said of its new reworking: “Maison Martin Margiela is creating a theatrical environment where reality and trompe-l’oeil blend into a surreal atmosphere. The result is an atypical
ambience of different harmonies that coalesce into something new, innovative and simply cool.”

always been an advocate of juxtaposition in my designs, my heart melts at a beautiful, sparkling chandelier on a rough, raw concrete backrop.
The Concrete Wall collection is the result of photographing raw and refined concrete walls, raw cinder block walls and even graffiti, in locations across Norway. The imagery used in this unique wallpaper is based on high-resolution photography and custom manipulation. No pattern is ever repeated, something that results in a very realistic finish. Concrete Wall can make the wallpaper either lighter or darker, or even add a specific colour cast.

thought I'd share a few snaps from my recent trip to thailand via singapore... was such an amazing trip, a good mix of business and relaxation... on freezing cold and wet days like today I shut my eyes and take myself back to the long hot sunshine filled days, white powdery sand beaches, crystal clear aqua coloured bath temperature water, palm trees, friendly smiling faces, snorkelling, good food, cocktails and the lingering scent of frangipani... heaven on earth xx
