driftwood furniture
On a walk around Mount Maunganui last weekend I stumbled on some stunning pieces of driftwood, and got me thinking about what I could use them for... funny how the universe works cos just days before I was flicking through a magazine and saw a picture of a driftwood coffee table! Hmmm....
I love the juxtapositions in a piece like this... the smooth against rough, man made and natural, the rugged and gnarled against polished, transparent and solid...

It was love at first bite for me... these cupcakes by laurel at petal cupcakes are just divine - and believe it or not, they taste even scrummier than they look! What a perfect idea for a wedding cake... 3 tiers of cupcakes! Yum! xx
